Center of Excellence has an internal library with abundant study materials, a reading room just next to the library with adequate desks for reading and study. The room is opened from 8 am from Monday to Friday. Students may borrow the books from the library on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
What is more, students and lecturers of Center of Excellence can get access to a rich source of study materials from 2 Centers of study resources of the University of Danang of which one center is located in the campus of University of Science and Technology. That center is a four-floored building with 1000 seats, 250 computers for researching materials, 130 newspapers and magazines, 3800 theses and dissertations, 1300 references, 51.000 reference materials for certain fields, 47.000 manuals and textbooks in different languages and 947 reference books for students. Training center also gives access to electrical sources with open sources of materials and electrical databases such as: Proquest Central, Hinari, Agora, Ardi, scientific database of National Agency for science and Information Technology, database of the World Bank. The center is opened from 7.30 am to 17.30 pm during weekdays, except for Sundays for students and lecturers to approach materials.
In order to have such an abundant sources whose content is closely related to the curriculum, Center of Excellence has constantly updated the internal library yearly with different sources: books bought with a part of the budget, international scientific journals, summary record of students’ scientific research, TI contest, books given by other organizations, manuals provided by lecturers. The initial number of manuals and reference books at the library satisfied 60% needed textbooks in 2007. Thanks to yearly updates, the number has increased and met 95% of manuals, 80% of reference books in 2008 and reached 100% manuals in 2014. In 2015, Center of Excellence started to focus on developing number code for better management and more effectiveness in terms of book-borrowing procedures of students and lecturers.
